Heather and I have been friends since Middle School…which is a really freaking long time if you ask me. When she asked me to take her newest babes newborn photos, I was over the moon honored.

Sadie is the little sister to Emma. The relationship that they already have melts my mama heart. Emma was so helpful during the shoot, and I’m pretty sure stole the show with her new baby sis.

There’s something so special about the bond between sisters, and it’s such a privilege to capture it on camera. Especially with in the first month!

Hi, friends!

I know it’s been such a while since I’ve updated this blog, and I am so sorry for that! But I promise that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy.

Life has been a total whirlwind this year with our sweet girl, and we’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve been beyond blessed to shoot some incredible family lifestyle sessions that I’ll be sharing on here soon!

So stay tuned this week for some amazing new blogs!

I love newborn sessions. Everything about them. I love black and white images…maybe even more. Which is why I’m so excited to share a session with you today, in all black and white images.

I’ve thought about doing this before. There’s just something about any image in black and white that makes you feel something different than color images. Or maybe that’s just me ๐Ÿ˜‰

Chelsea is a true life friend of mine. One I met through church years ago and we’ve formed a really sweet friendship. We talked over the years about how in the distant, distant future we’d have babies.

The future wasn’t so distant, and I’m pretty sure I can speak for her when I say that it’s so much better that way.

Baby Jack is perfect.
Enjoy this session!

This family means a lot to me. I’ve been able to photograph two of their three babes newborn sessions and a couple family sessions. Anthony leads the youth at an amazing church and Brooke is one of the most amazing women of God I know.

I say this a lot, but you have no idea how much it means to a photographer when you ask them back repeatedly to photograph your family. When Ruby Roo made her world debut I couldn’t wait to see her!

These photos are some of my favorite. Her nursery for one, is too cute. Obviously Brooke new she was on the way (and has an amazing story about her name too), and decorated her nursery with every girl piece she could find. But who could blame her with having already had two boys.

And these big brothers you guys. The photos pretty much speak for themselves. Ezra, the middle boy…I get you, bro. I get the middle child thing ๐Ÿ˜‰

Rick family, you rock. Thanks for letting me capture your sweet babes!

This family has graced my blog quite a few times and each time I get more and more sentimental. It’s my big sister and her family, and every time I get to photograph them it seems like my niece grows up ten years.

It really is an honor, being able to capture these photos for my sister and her family. I love the fact that like them, I’ve been able to photograph a couple families from the very beginning. Pregnancy to newborn, and then as adorable tiny humans.

Family sessions are my sweet spot! Enjoy these!

This handsome boy belongs to one of my closest friends, Marie and her hubs Collin. I’ve known Marie for years, and actually got to take their engagement pictures way back in the day ๐Ÿ™‚

Can I just for a moment, tell you how amazing it is to be able to capture multiple milestones for people?

Marie wanted newborn pictures of her little man, but in the hospital, which I loved the idea of. Something I didn’t even do with my own child. #momoftheyear
I loved being able to capture Oliver not even two days old. The idea of a Fresh 48 session makes my heart so happy. It’s something I am so interested in doing more, hint hint, wink wink.

This little man is almost six months old now, can you tell I’m behind on blogging? But it’s a session that has to be shared because it’s just so simple and so beautiful.

Marie and Collin, I can’t thank you guys enough for letting me the one to take these photos for you!

I’ve known Elizabeth since middle school, so I was elated when she contacted me about a family session. They live near the cutest beach town, which was the perfect backdrop for photos. Her sweet little girl had such a grin on the whole time, and just adores her mommy and daddy.

I love the way a family session works. It’s such a joy to capture a family just being with each other, instead of trying to get one hundred super posed shots. Most of the time I just followed them around, and would occasionally say, “Ok look at me now”.

Enjoy this sweet session!
